Oxford as tutor to Drake’s son when an undergraduate there; author, Lyric Poems made in imitation of the Italians, 1687, and other works; dedicated his Mythologia Ethica, or Three Centuries of Aesopian Fables in English, 1689, to his “kinsman” Lewis Maidwell (qv); d. 1 Dec 1712.
