Dorothy Coventry (reputed authoress of The Whole Duty of Man), youngest dau. of Thomas Coventry, 1st Baron Coventry, Lord Keeper of the Privy Seal, and his first wife; b. 1649; at school in 1661 (Chapter Muniments); Christ Church, Oxford, matr. 3 May 1662, aged 13; Grand Tour (three years); resided on family estate at Westwood Park, Worcs., where he learned Anglo-Saxon under the tuition of George Hickes, Dean of Worcester; succ. father as 3rd baronet 13 Jan 1679/80; MP Worcestershire 1685-7; m. 17 Dec 1668 Margaret, second dau. of Sir John Keyt, Bart.; buried Hampton Lovett, Worcs. 28 Mar 1688.
