Mayo, Inspector under the Irish Linen Board, and his third wife Anne, dau. of Richard Stone, London, banker; b. 24 Jul 1764; adm. 27 Sep 1774; left 1777; Writer EICS Bengal 1 Oct 1781; present at OWW dinner at Calcutta 1783 (Hickey, iii, 245); Collector of Tirhoot 1793; Judge and Magistrate, Tirhoot 1795, Benares 1803; resigned 1805; one of the donors of the Warren Hastings Cup; m. 20 Feb 1796 Elizabeth Millicent, third dau. of Maj. -Gen. Horton Briscoe, EICS Bengal; d. during his passage to England in the Lady Jane Dundas 5 Sep 1805.
