Canon Chester 1898; member Cheshire County Council 1895-1912, Alderman from 1912; for many years a familiar figure in the hunting field; m. 9 May 1866 Frances Mary, eldest dau. of William Henry Hornby MP, Poole Hall, Nantwich, Cheshire; d. 16 Sep 1918.
