Israel Antoine Aufrère (Marquis de Corville), Preacher at the French Savoy Chapel and Minister of the French Chapel at St. James’s, and Sarah Ainsincq, The Hague; b. 25 Jun 1704; adm. Jan 1718/9; Oriel Coll. Oxford, matr. 24 Mar 1719/20; BA 1723; MA 1726; ordained 1728; Rector of Heigham, Norfolk, from 1731 [or 1731/2]; lived at Hoveton Hall, Norfolk; m. 1st, 21 Jul 1727 (IGI) Marianne, dau. of Maj. --- De Gastienne, a French refugee in the Dutch service [but IGI gives her name as Susanna Hullin de Gastine]; 2nd, 1740, Mary, widow of James Smith, Alderman of Norwich, and dau. of Giles Cutting, Hoveton St. Peter, Norfolk; d. 22 May 1781.
