Bartlett, Eric Oscar, brother of Hardington Arthur Bartlett (q.v.); b. Aug. 26, 1882; adm. Sept. 27, 1895 (H); left April 1901; R.M.C. Sandhurst 1901; 2nd Lieut. Irish Guards Oct. 22, 1902, resigned his commission in 1904 and went out to Buenos Aires, where on the outĀbreak of Great War I he was engaged in drilling South American recruits; temp. Capt. 19th (Service) Batt. Lancs Fusiliers Feb. 13, 1915; Major May 1, 1915; served at Salonica; m. Jan. 16, 1907, Irene, sister of Claude Mashiter Alport (q.v.); d. 1968.
