Barwell, Wilfred Thomas de Berdewelle, brother of Charles Sedley William Barwell (q.v.); b. Nov. 28, 1872; adm. Sept. 16, 1886 (G); left July 1891; adm. a solicitor March 1896, in practice at Seaford, Sussex; enlisted in the Royal Fusiliers Sept. 13, 1914; obtained a commission in the Royal Engineers (Railway Transport Establishment) March 31, 1915, and became Major July 1, 1918, whilst D. A. D. of Railway Traffic; served one year in France and seventeen months in Italy; m. Jan. 27, 1910, Dorothy, daughter of Hugh Clayton Armstrong, of Folkestone, Kent; d. Oct. 8, 1961.
