Slave owner with 6087 acres of land (1754 Jamaican Quit Rent books). Son's probate record in 1766 shows ownership of 537 slaves (290 male, 247 female), with the value of enslaved people at £21,523.12. These were likely inherited from his father upon his death in 1760.
