Sept. 24, 1885 (H); left July 1892; became a stock jobber and went out to South Africa shortly before Great War I; enlisted in the South African Medical Corps in Nov. 1915, and joined the East African Expeditionary Force in Jan. 1916; d. while on active service at Rug, Rufigi River, East Africa, April 14, 1917; unm.
