Boxford from 18 Sep 1735); BA 1727; MA 1730 (incorp. Cambridge 1732); ordained; Rector of Boxford, Suffolk, from 1735; Rector of Groton, Suffolk, from 1743; known as “Honest John Church” (Bishop Newton’s Works, 1787, i, 172); m. Mary, dau. of Thomas Martin, Barrards Hall, Whatfield, Suffolk; d. 27 Oct 1785.
