        DEHANY, GEORGE, only son of George Dehany, Jamaica, and Mary, dau. of Matthew Gregory MD, Jamaica, and nephew of Philip Dehany (qv); b. 17 Oct 1760; adm. 28 Sep 1770; Trinity Coll. Cambridge, adm. pens. 14 Sep 1778, but did not matr.; adm. Lincoln’s Inn 7 Oct 1779, called to bar 16 Nov 1784; member Marylebone and Hambledon Cricket Clubs, and played in many of the great matches of the day; played for OWW against Old Etonians at Lord’s 13-14 May 1793; m. 15 Aug 1786 Sarah, widow of Matthew Byndloss, Jamaica, and dau. of --- Jones; d. 1807.
