DODGSON, HASSARD HUME, brother of Charles Dodgson (qv); b. Dec 1803; adm. 15 Jun 1813; absent 1816-7; KS (Capt. ) 1818; elected to Christ Church, Oxford 1822, matr. 18 May 1822, Westminster Student to 1833; 1st cl. Classics 1825; Ireland Scholar 1826; BA 1826; MA 1829; adm. Lincoln’s Inn 2 Feb 1827 and Inner Temple 24 Jan 1844, called to bar Inner Temple 30 Jan 1872; practised as a special pleader; Master, Court of Common Pleas 1871-9, Supreme Court of Judicature from 1879; m. 27 Aug 1833 his cousin Caroline, fifth dau. of James Deacon Hume (qv); d. 3 Sep 1884.
