Scope and content

Letter from Alice Sumsion, 25th October 1953. Addressed to both Harold and Hope Costly-White. Wife of the Cathedral Organist, Herbert (see Part 1, 95)? Two teak benches have been gifted to the Cathedral with plaques commemorating Harold Costley White's period as Dean. Plenty of 'idle gossip,' showing that 'the Close changes, but doesn't change.'
