Black Bourton; BA 1766; MA 1770; an Usher at the School 1764-72; ordained priest (Oxford) 26 May 1771; “Chaplain to St. John’s, Newfoundland” (MS note in copy of Welch); Vicar of Black Bourton, Oxfordshire, from 30 May 1771; Rector of Stansted Mountfitchet, Essex, from 1782; he and his wife kept the boarding house, 2 Little Dean’s Yard, for many years to 1813; Rector of Wennington, Essex, from 1812; m.; d. 13 Aug 1826.
