Hodgson, Charles Lawrence Courtenay, brother of George William Houghton Hodgson (q.v.); b. Jan. 10, 1893; adm. May 4, 1906 (G); left Dec. 1910; 2nd Lieut. 3rd Batt. NorthumÂberland Fusiliers; Lieut. Dec. 2, 1912; Capt. Feb. 26, 1915; went out with the original Expeditionary Force in Aug. 1914, and took part in the great retreat from Mons; was inÂvalided home in Sept. 1914, and served on the staff until March 1919; m. Nov. 30, 1922, Constance Cockton, elder daughter of Humphrey Patricius Senhouse, of Cockermouth, Cumberland; d. about 1959.
