Jan. 18, 1900 (G); left July 1904; London Univ.; an engineer; served in Great War I in the 18th Batt. Royal Fusiliers from Private to Sgt.-Major, and became acting Capt. 3rd Batt. Royal Scots July 14, 1918; wounded; M.C. Dec. 2, 1918; m. 1st April 25, 1912, Winifred Catherine Barbara, daughter of. John James Farr; 2nd June 9, 1927, May Elizabeth, daughter of George Webber Shapland, of Taunton, Somerset.
