1890s Westminster

A set of 50 glass plate negatives showing scenes of the school, school life and the surrounding area. Stored in the original wooden box. The title "Westminster" has been written on the lid, and each end of the box is marked with a letter "K". The lid opens on a hinge, and there is a numbered list of titles pasted to the inside of the lid. Wooden dividers hold the slides upright and apart from each other.

1910s-40s College

Collection of Glass Plate Negatives depicting school life and buildings in the early 20th Century. They were originally stored in 8 boxes, and the original box numbers are recorded, because the titles are drawn from the captions on those original boxes. The captions were written on paper that was pasted over the top of existing labels that were on the re-used boxes. The earlier labels refer to photographs taken in 1912-33; one later reference to "Westminster School. (May 1940) Best neg […]"; reference to Mrs McNeilly (College Matron 1904-21), which means that the captions post-date 1940.
