Scott is portrayed in caricature, facing left; he wears black academic dress and collar; he is swinging a whip in his right hand at a spinning top on the left; on the right is a mortar board; the background shows Little Dean's Yard facing East, with the archway up School.
The man on the left is tall with white hair surrounding a large bald patch (Liddell); the man on the right is much smaller, he has grey hair and wears a black hat.
Half-length portrait on a much reduced scale; Abbott is turned to the right; he wears a white cravat and black coat; the background is grey; framed in an oval. Marked on back "Anna Tonelli" "Fece in Londra 1794" and "Charles Abbot 1st Lord Colchester". Charles Abbot 1st Lord Colchester would have been in his 40s at the time of painting so it is likely that either the artist or sitter is mis-attributed.

Half-length portrait of Costley-White in red academic robes with wide black strip running down from each shoulder and a gold brooch; he is seated, turned towards the left of the painting; bottom-right are a pile of books. Inscribed top right: 'H. Riviere, 1937'
