Postponing a visit from PE - brother Horace has had another attack in his bowels (OW - died in September 1807).

Apparently PE on behalf of his sister-in-law Mary Elmsley (nee Hallowell) has questioned whether Henry Bedford can forward letters to Mary's brother Admiral Sir Benjamin Hallowell Carew. Would like to accompany PE to Cambridge, but the notice is too short and his father is unwell.

A bill of Mrs Elmsley has been accepted at the Treasury. Has just returned from visiting Bignor Roman Villa (discovered three years previously), Petworth, Chichester Cathedral and Chertsey Abbey (being dug up by the owner for materials).

Asks for advice for purchasing an edition of Sophocles, with Latin notes - also Aeschylus and Euripides. Has taken PE's watch to be cleaned by Martin in King Street.
