Letter from Rose Headlam, 20th January. Thanks for letter of condolence on the death of her brother - the Bishop of Tewkesbury gave the address, and the Bishop of Dunwich was present. (Possibly Arthur Headlam, former Bishop of Gloucester - this would explain why the Chapter sent a wreath, and date the letter to January 1947.)

Asks the CWs to spend the night on both occasions. Has just returned from a party at St James's Palace given by the Society for the Protection of Ancient Buildings - shook hands with the Queen Mother.
