Letter from Waller
GB 2014 WS-05-COS-01-35 · Item · 02/08/1945
Part of Westminster School's Archive and Collections

Letter from Waller, 2nd August 1945. Architects. Veronica and Christopher Whall have inspected the East Window. Nothing to be done about the discolouration and pitting - in time (perhaps several centuries) it will become perforated. In some areas the painting on the glass appears to be on the outside (because a large part of the glass is a hotch-potch of bits reused from elsewhere). Due to a labour shortage releading will take at least 12 months.

Letter from Waller, 11th September 1945. Mr Beck has inspected the East Window. Better to do the work at his place in Cheltenham - all his facilities are there plus gas for soldering, and he can work on into the evening. He will drive over a few panels at a time, and will charge for the work on a time basis.
