Letter from Viscount Bledisloe, 22nd May 1945. Bledisloe, a former Governor General of NZ, will write to the current Governor General, Sir Harry Batterbee (the High Commissioner) and anyone else he can think of, asking them to welcome the Costley-White son (Cyril) together with his wife and family.
Letter from Violet Stanton, 9th November. Impending confirmation in Marlborough of a boy he christened in 1940 - his godfathers have died or disappeared, so could Harold Costley White send him a letter.
Letter from Victor de Pange, 8th December 1947. Fond memories of his stay in Gloucester last year. Bonor Sykes has been to stay with them in the country - hopes to keep in touch with him. Wants to spend a year in England improving his English, and asks Harold Costley White's advice about teaching in a school. Enclosed CV shows that his father was arrested by the Gestapo in 1942, and he himself participated in the Resistance and then worked as an interpreter in the American army.
