List of members of the 'Old Grantite Club' and subscribers to the 'Grantite Review'

An address book with a list of names and addresses of members of the 'Old Grantite Club' and subscribers to the 'Grantite review', the House magazine. Some people were only subscribers to the magazine which is indicated by a single red *. The list is thought to have been started by D. E. Lashmore (G 1920 - 1923), whose signature is on the first page.

Chronicle

Material relating to King's/Queen's Scholars' Chronicle, the magazine produced for and by college students. The Chronicle started as a newsletter for college pupils with details of sporting achievements and some cultural articles. it was relaunched many times and bu the late 1930s had become satirical but also more cultural with plays, poems, artwork and photographs all submmitted by college boys. Publication schedule changed a number of times from termly to weekly, fortnightly and ad hoc.

Chronicle for scholars, Starts out as a newsletter and develops into a satirical magazine. Contains artwork, photographs, poems and short stories from the pupils. Starts out as a termly magazine, then weekly, then fortnightly and then ad hoc.

Ashburnham House Ledger 1927-1937

This ledger was kept by the Head of House and gives details of new boys and boys who had left each year, sporting results and accounts of matches, comments on the characters of boys after they left the House, names of those who received colours, notes on music competitions, details of tannings, names of Head of House and monitors and any other events which the Heads thought interesting to record. Some entries include summaries of the previous term. Not all Heads of House contributed to the ledger each year. At the front of the volume are details of Head of House, Monitors, House Masters and those who gained pinks. There is also a list of Heads of Ashburnham House on the first page and at the back of the volume. Inserted by a researcher are markers throughout the book as well as some loose pages which contain notes on the volume.
