JEFFREYS, ARTHUR, youngest son of John Jeffreys (adm. 1780, qv); b. 1 Oct 1811; adm. 7 Apr 1824 (Stelfox's); entered Royal Navy as Midshipman; retd. 1839; settled in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia (by 1852); returned to England before death; m. 17 Feb 1841 Sarah, dau. of Robert Campbell (a cadet of branch of Campbell family of Duntroon, Argyllshire); d. 13 Sep 1861.
