Sandhurst 1908; 2nd Lieut. unattached, Jan. 20, 1909; Indian Army March II, 1910; Double Company Officer 1st Batt. 7th Gurkha Rifles March 14, 1910; Lieut. April 20, 1911; Asst. Adjt. 8th (Serv.) Batt. Black Watch Aug. 1914 - Nov. 1914; went out to the western front, attached 2/8th Gurkha Rifles Nov. 1914; killed in action at Festubert, near La Bassee, France, Nov. 23, 1914; unm.
