Sir Edward Paget (qv), and his first wife; b. 24 May 1806; adm. 16 Sep 1817 (G); Christ Church, Oxford, matr. 3 Jun 1824, Canoneer Student 1825-36; BA 1828; MA 1830; supported Oxford Movement of 1833; ordained; Rector of Elford, Staffs., from 1835; author, Some Records of the Ashtead Estate and of its Howard possessors, 1873, and of various novels with historical or religious themes; his book, A Student Penitent, 1875, is based on letters from Richard Graham (qv) and his tutor Hugh Todd, preserved at Levens Hall, Westmorland; m. 2 Jun 1840 Fanny, dau. of Rev. William Chester, Rector of Denton, Norfolk; d. 4 Aug 1882. DNB.
