Three-quarters length portrait of Hastings seated on a wooden chair with red upholstery, facing half right; he wears white stockings, brown coat; his right arm rests upon the chair, while his left dangles in front of him; there is a book on a small table to the left of the picture. Inscribed on the frame with the name of the sitter
Ivory miniature; head and shoulders; Hastings turned to the right, but with his face turned slightly to the left of the picture; he wears a white cravat, blue coat with gold buttons and a white wig; the background is blue-grey. Reverse inscription: 'Warren Hastings'.
Half-length portrait of Hamilton standing; he wears black academic dress and academic gown; his head and body are turned slightly to the left; he holds an open book. In 2001, his wife is reported to have said that this was a poor likeness.
