Ireland c.1844 ; successively organist, St.Mary’s, Kilkenny, and the Mariners’ Church, Kingstown, Dublin ; living in Dublin in 1873 ; Music Master Jan 1877 – Dec 1919 ; m. 1 Jan 1873 Ellen Frances, dau. of Francis Baring Atkinson, Morland Hall, Westmorland ; d. 18 May 1920. Father of Frederick Baring Ranalow (Record, vol.III, qv).
