Robertson, William Alexander, eldest son of William Robertson, of Westminster, by Mary Elizabeth, daughter of Thomas Grant, of Edinburgh; b. Aug. 2, 1871; adm. Jan. 24, 1884 (H); left (with a Triplett gratuity) July 1889; Ch. Ch. Oxon., matric. Oct. 1 1, 1889; scholar 1892; B.A. 1893; called to the bar at the Inner Temple Nov. 18, 1901; North-Eastern Circuit; edited the 2nd and 3rd editions of Macnamara's Law of Carriers of Merchandise and Passengers by Land, and other works; d. May 7, 1937, by his will bequesthed £800 to the school for the foundation of prizes.
