Smith-Howard, Henry Wilfrid Howard, elder son of George Howard Smith-Howard, of Clapham Common, by Emma Susan Laura, daughter of Henry Overend Wilson, of London; b. April 14, 1887; adm. May 3, 1900 (A); left July 1905; while articled to a solicitor joined the Inns of Court O.T.C. May 13, 1915; 2nd Lieut. 4th Batt. Royal Sussex Regt. Aug. 21, 1915; Lieut. July 1, 1917; went out to Egypt Jan. 10, 1916; was wounded at Gaza March 27, 1917, but rejoined his Batt. in the following month; resigned his commission Jan. 1919; adm. a solicitor Jan. 1921; in practice in London.
