St. Martin in the Fields 16 Nov 1788 (IGI); in school list 1801; left Whitsun 1803; Royal Academy Schools, adm. 4 Jan 1806; pupil of Sir Thomas Lawrence; engraver, miniaturist and portrait painter; Portrait Painter to HRH Duchess of York; exhibited at Royal Academy 1805-16 and at British Institution 1811-6; resident in Quebec City, Canada 1832-55 and in Chicago, Illinois, USA, from 1855; m. 1820 Rebecca Piercy (IGI); d. 1874.
