Thoresby, James Evelyn, brother of Percy Thoresby-Jones (q.v.); b. April 19, 1887; adm. Jan. 17, 1901 (H); left Easter 1905; Univ. Coll. Hospital; M.R.C.S. and L.R.C.P. (Lond.) 1913; Capt. R.A.M.C. Aug. 13, 1915; served in France and was wounded at Loos in 1916; assumed the surname of Thoresby in lieu of Thorseby-Jones 1920; m. July 31, 1927, Barbara, daughter of Henry Fielding, of Canterbury, Kent; d. 1942.
