WHATELEY, GEORGE KEMBLE, son of Kemble Whateley, Westminster, and Hartfield, Sussex; b.; adm. 14 Oct 1765; in school lists 1771; Trinity Coll. Cambridge, adm. pens. 14 May 1771, aged 18, scholar 7 May 1773; BA 1776; ordained deacon (London) 2 Jun 1776; d. at Hows Green, near Wokingham, Berks., 8 Feb 1833. [but will not proved PCC until 22 Sep 1840 (sic), surname given as Whatley : father’s will gives father’s surname as Whatley also] [mother presumably Elizabeth Marsh (IGI), husband’s surname given as Whatley] [transfer to Whatley]
