        YORKE, PHILIP WYNNE, son of Philip Yorke MP, Erthig Hall, Denbighshire, and his second wife Diana, widow of Ridgway Owen Meyrick, and elder dau. of Pierce Wynne, Dyffryn Aled, Denbighshire; b. 1788; adm. 25 Sep 1802 (Clapham); in school list May and Oct 1803; left 1805; St. John’s Coll. Cambridge, adm. pens. 4 Jan 1806, matr. Easter 1806; BA 1811; MA 1820; ordained deacon 22 Sep 1811, priest 23 Feb 1812 (both Chester); Rector of South Shoebury, Essex, from 1812; Rector of Rayleigh, Essex 1838-43; Rector of Hawkswell, Essex, from 1843; d. 21 Mar 1858, aged 70.

Cambridge, adm. fellow commoner 21 Jun 1803; High Sheriff, Denbighshire 1817; m. 16 Dec 1817 Elizabeth, eldest dau. of Sir William Bulkeley Hughes, Kt, Plas Coch, Anglesey; d. 9 Feb 1837. But the person meant in the school list of 1803 is his brother Philip Wynne Yorke].
