Sch., Oxford; his father, in Jan 1677/8, after keeping his “bashful son … who delights in nothing but books, at Westminster and Oxford near four years”, requested Williamson that his son might be employed “as an under clerk in your office” (CSP Dom 1675-6, 95-6; 1677-8, 569).
