Bliss, ii, 463); author of Latin orations delivered by him at Oxford 1620, 1622, of three tragedies performed at Christ Church during his lifetime (although published posthumously), and of a tragi-comedy, The Careless Shepherdess, performed with great applause before the King and Queen at Salisbury; m. “a meer Xantippe, the widow of his predecessor [at East Clandon, Rev.
