CLAPHAM, ROBERT, son of Richard Clapham, London, whose widow Martha kept a boarding house, first in Dean’s Yard and then at 1 Little Dean’s Yard; b. (at Doncaster, Yorks. ); adm. 26 Sep 1774; KS (aged 15) 1780; Treasurer, Society for the Propagation of the Gospel, from 15 Feb 1805; m. Mary, eldest sister of Charles Simpson (qv); d. 17 May 1805.
