Arnold-Jenkins, James Gedwion, son of Robert Arthur Arnold-Jenkins, of Paignton, Devon, by Kate, daughter of James Swan, of Swanston, near Edinburgh; b. Dec. 20, 1899; adm. June 21, 1915 (G); left Dec. 1916; served as Flying Officer in R. N. A. S. for six months in France, afterwards transferred to the R. N. as a Gunnery and Watchkeeping Officer on board T. B. D. s; wounded in March 1918, and discharged from the fleet on account of wounds; head of the Steamer Dept. of Messrs. Forbes, Forbes, Campbell and Co. Ltd., Bombay, 1923-38; rejoined Royal Navy Dec. 1939; Lieut. March 4, 1940; Lieut. Comdr; served in minelayers and on Admiral's Staff, Germany; asst. master, Clark's College, Brighton, since 1950; m. Dec, 2, 1922, Constance Muriel, daughter of Richard Pryce, of Rhyl, Wales.
