Oxford, adm. 1652/3, aged 19, matr. 9 Dec 1653; BA 1657; MA 1660; DD (Cambridge) 1671; Master, Camberwell GS, 1661-74; ordained; Rector of St. Edmund the King, London, from 17 Feb 1669/70; Rector of Sefton, Lancs., 1675-8; Vicar of Bexhill, Sussex, from 1678; Chaplain in Ordinary to Charles II; about 1682 he petitioned the King for a prebend at Westminster, stating that he had been a King’s Scholar (CSP Dom); Prebendary of Canterbury from Oct 1685; buried Canterbury Cathedral 12 Dec 1685.
