Canon, Christ Church, from 1882; founded Sisterhood of St. Thomas the Martyr, Oxford, and St. Edward’s School, Summertown; built Church of St. Frideswide to serve the wants of Osney Town; editor, The Ecclesiastic 1846-67, Oxford University Herald from 1881; author The Seven Ages of the Church, 1856, and other works; d. unm. 20 Jan 1892.
