CHAPMAN, HENRY BREWER, son of Henry Samuel Chapman, London, newspaper editor and barrister, Judge of Supreme Court, New Zealand, and his first wife Catherine Brewer; b. 10 Apr 1841; adm. 6 Oct 1853 (James'); QS 1856; elected head to Trinity Coll Cambridge (with Triplett) 1860, adm. pens. 24 May 1860, matr. Lent 1861; LLB 1864; drowned in wreck of SS London, while on her passage to Australia, 11 Jan 1866.
