Gray’s Inn 1566, ancient 21 Nov 1576; MP Great Yarmouth 1576 - Apr 1583, Tavistock Nov 1584 - Sep 1585, Weymouth and Melcombe Regis Oct 1586 - Mar 1586/7; High Sheriff, Suffolk 1600-1; knighted 11 May 1603; m.
