Cork, 1774; removed to diocese of Canterbury, 1774; Chaplain, EICS Madras; arrived in India Aug 1775; found guilty of homicide by misadventure by a jury in Madras, following the death of one of his servants from a twenty-foot fall while in fear of punishment from him; about to leave Madras for England Feb 1776.
