CREWE, RANDULPH (or RALPH), brother of John Crewe (at school under Busby, qv); b. 6 Apr 1631; at school under Busby (J. E. B. Mayor, ed., Admissions to St. John’s Coll. Camb., i, 79); St. John’s Coll. Cambridge, adm. fellow commoner 15 Jun 1646; adm. Lincoln’s Inn 30 Oct 1647; an amateur artist; drew a map of Cheshire that was published in King’s Vale Royall of England, or the County Palatine of Chester illustrated, 1646; d. from wounds received from footpads while walking in the streets of Paris 21 Sep 1657.
