DANSEY, WILLIAM MALET, son of Col. William Dansey CB, Brinsop Court, Herefordshire, and Catherine, dau. of Rev. Alexander Malet, Vicar of Combe Flory, Somerset, Prebendary of Gloucester and of Wells; b.; adm. 2 Feb 1795 (Clapham); in school lists 1795, 1797; left Lady Day 1800; Page of Honour to George III 31 Dec 1794 – Mar 1800; Ensign, 2nd Foot Guards 8 Mar 1800; Lieut. and Capt., 29 Oct 1802; half-pay 25 Dec 1802; Capt., 65th Foot 25 May 1803, still in Army List 1810; killed in India (will proved PCC 7 Jan 1811).
