FITZHARDING, WILLIAM GEORGE AUGUSTUS, recorded on baptism at St. Mary’s, Marylebone Road, London, as son of William Fitzharding, and Jane --- (IGI), (but said to have been an illegitimate son of William Berkeley, 1st Earl Fitzhardinge, and Jane Baldwin, niece of Maj. -Gen. Thomas Hawkshaw, EICS Bengal); b. 8 Jun 1810; adm. 23 Sep 1823 (Stelfox's); KS 1825; left 1826; articled to Thomas Clarke, Solicitor to the Ordnance, 1827; emigrated to Australia 1838; adm. solicitor, New South Wales 1 Apr 1840; practised in Sydney; m. 1st, c. 1833 Mary Anne Gahen; m. 2nd, 18 Nov 1844 Anna Amelia, dau. of William Hyde; m. 3rd, 16 Aug 1866 Harriet Ellen, dau. of Alfred Elyard, Sydney, solicitor; d. at Paddington, New South Wales, Australia 12 Sep 1884.
