Lincoln’s Inn 5 Dec 1811, called to bar 12 May 1817; Chancellor, Diocese of York 1818-68; MP Aldborough 4 May 1815-20, East Retford 1831-47; assumed surname of Harcourt-Vernon in lieu of Venables-Vernon; of Grove Park, Notts.; m. 1st, 22 Feb 1814 Frances Julia, dau. of Anthony Hardolph Eyre MP, Grove Park, Notts.; m. 2nd, 22 Nov 1845 Hon.
