History
Silversmiths. Founded William Hutton in Birmingham in 1800, which was continued after his death by his son William Carr Hutton (1803-1865) Became Hutton & Houghton between 1818-1820. Reverted to William Hutton 1820-1864. Transferred to Sheffield in 1832. Became William Hutton & Son in 1864, then William Hutton and Sons from c.1870. Acquired Rupert Favell & Co, and became William Hutton & Sons Ltd in 1893. Acquired Creswick & Co in 1902. Absorbed by James Dixon & Sons in 1930.
