Navy wool caps embroidered with a pink 'XXII'. Eight triangular panels meet at apex, covered by a button. The bill make up nearly half of the cap’s depth, one horizontal pleat extends away from bill on both sides. Inside, the cap is lined with black silk, constructed of two pieces – a rectangle gathered in a circle and sewn to a disk in the centre. Conserved by students at the Centre for Textile Conservation at the University of Glasgow in 2015.
