Glass Plate Negative (107mm x 81mm). A view of the main building of Fettes College, Edinburgh, taken from across the lawn. The building was designed by David Bryce and built between 1869-9. Rev. William Heard, who was the second Headmaster of Fettes between 1890 and 1919, had taught Classics at Westminster and had been housemaster of Grant's between 1885 and 1889.
